Ahh, the incorrigible hero Don Quixote. What do you say Rex, will Terry Gilliam ever complete Cervantes’ masterpiece?

If there’s anyone to do it properly it would be Gilliam, but it seems he’s been plagued since the 90’s with numerous disasters, reminiscent of our errant knight, that’s kept him from ever completing this epic dream.

Both he and Orson Welles have tried to make the book. The 1972 version didn't know what it wanted to be. I love this musical... and this song in particular. This version is incredible but even Brian Stokes misses the point in the end. It is not the quest for the unattainable itself that is important... rather, it is by taking on the impossible quest that one can attain that which is otherwise unattainable.
