Habits

Actions conforming to the laws of the subconscious or subjective mind. Carried out through conditioning they occur without the intervention of the conscious mind. Initially what becomes a habit is usually performed consciously; it does not become habitual until it is performed subconsciously. Habits are not necessarily bad; they are whatever we make of them. The principle under which habits are formed is good and an essential part of the evolutionary process, but humankind has misused and abused.
